Yes, I’m doing this reading to help promote the Guillermo del Toro, James Cameron, Universal Studios, 3D movie of, “At the Mountains of Madness.”
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be posting all twelve chapters of H. P. Lovecraft’s, “At the Mountains of Madness,” one chapter at a time, to stretch out the fun; and to give me time to clean each chapter up a bit (and correct the bloopers also) before they are posted here.
I’m also taking a little time between each posting to allow for any feedback, to see if there is an interest in my posting the entire reading.
Seven chapters down, five more to go, one-at-a-time, until we reach The End.
And now, Chapter Seven:
NOTE: If you do a normal click on the MP3 file link in this post, WordPress will play it for you.
If you’d like to download and save the file for yourself, and you are using a PC, right-click, to bring up the right-click menu and use the “Save Link As” function to save the MP3 file to your hard drive.
If you’d like to download and save the file for yourself, and you are using a Mac, I believe that would be ctrl + Click to bring up the right click menu, and use the “Download Linked File” function to save the MP3 file to your hard drive. I don’t own a Mac so please correct me if I am wrong!

Please let me know if this reading is to your liking by way of comments.
And please tell me if you do want more of this tale sooner, rather than later.
Chapter Eight is coming soon, but I can’t predict the date. Hang on for more!
The following is not Lovecraftian, but it does cut into my Lovecraftian time!
Here are three examples of part of what’s been taking up some of my time as a backyard smoker (of meats) with friends and family lately (holiday times are crazy!):
An interesting idea to do readings of HP Lovecraft stuff. But it would be much better as a PodCast. That way people don’t have to download the MP3 individually and play them, they can just subscribe and they download them to their favourite podcast software.
Since you are using WordPress you might like to look at the PodPress plugin.
Disclaimer: I haven’t used it PodPress myself. Though it seems to be the recommended plugin for this sort of thing. 🙂
Leefe, your podcast ideas really had me excited thinking about the possibilities; and I spent quite a bit of time today researching all of the different podcasting plug-ins for WordPress sites. Until I hit a wall.
It turns out that all of the podcasting plug-ins, are for the stand-alone WordPress.org provided software for third-party sites to run; which the end-users can modify as they like.
But the users of WordPress.com (like this site), can NOT install any plug-ins.
WordPress.com takes care of all of the updates, problems, spam, etc.; but there is no current way to do true podcasting from here.
Of course, I may still be able to sign up with a podcasting site that will stream my files from here (for a monthly fee); but I’ll have to research that idea far more before I set that up. Many thanks though for giving me some good ideas to think about!
